All of Apple's software applications are only available through the App Store as a download and it only provides the latest version of an app (i.e. Download bootable mac os. LPX v 10.1.1) You cannot download an earlier version to match your older OSX.
This is Apple's way to force everybody to stay updated on their system and application level, which makes it much more easier for them (and app developer) not to support legacy systems.
